WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU ORDER A DUMPSTER
MAKE ROOM FOR YOUR DUMPSTER
Clear the delivery area and nearby space of any vehicles or obstacles before your dumpster arrives. If you have cars in the garage, keep in mind you may not be able to access them while the dumpster is in your driveway. Consider parking them on the street if needed. The dumpster is delivered slowly, but scratches on your driveway are possible depending on its age and material. You can lay plywood under your dumpster to protect the driveway’s surface from scratches or scrapes. We’ll confirm all drop-off details when you place your order, so even if you’re not on-site, we’ll know exactly where to position the dumpster.
For a safe delivery, the drop-off area should be at least 60 feet long, 10.5 feet wide, and 25–30 feet high. The space must be straight, open, and free from overhead obstructions like tree branches or power lines.
Please note: a fee may apply if we’re unable to complete the delivery due to limited space or blocked access.
HOW TO FILL YOUR DUMPSTER
Knowing how to load a dumpster and what to fill it with are two different things. Throwing prohibited items in your bin raises safety and environmental issues and can damage the roll off dumpster. We’ll also charge you a disposal fee.
A list of items that are NOT prohibited include: Hazardous waste, Industrial waste, Chemical products, Oil filters, Herbicides & pesticides, Radioactive material, Solvents, Paint, other flammable liquids, Aerosol cans, propane tanks, motor oil, transmission oil/ lubricating /hydraulic oil/ oil filters Contaminated oils, Antifreeze, Appliances, Petroleum contained soil/lead paint chips, Tires, Batteries, Computers, Monitors, Televisions, Microwaves, Fluorescent tubes, Railroad ties, Medical waste, Animals, Barrels, and All liquids.
Avoid Going Over the Fill Line. Be mindful of how full you load your dumpster. Each bin has a clearly marked fill line. Please do not exceed it. Debris should never extend above the top edge or hang over the sides, as this prevents safe pickup. If the dumpster is overfilled and our driver is unable to remove it, a fee will be applied.
Expecting bad weather during your cleanup? Consider covering your dumpster with a tarp to keep out rain and snow, which can add extra weight. Moisture can soak into materials like dirt and carpet, making them significantly heavier. You may also incur a fee if contents freeze together or if snow accumulates around the outside of the bin. Before pickup, make sure the area around your dumpster is clear and easily accessible for our driver.
PREPARE FOR PICKUP
As your project wraps up, getting ready for dumpster pickup is quick and easy. Simply ensure the area around your roll-off dumpster is clear of any obstacles so our driver can safely and efficiently access the bin. Please make sure all debris is contained within the dumpster, with nothing sticking out above the fill line or hanging over the sides.
Double-check that the pickup location is accessible, including removing any vehicles, equipment, or materials that may block access. Keeping the area clean and clear helps us complete your pickup smoothly and on schedule.
If you have any last-minute cleanup, now is the time. Once we arrive, we’ll handle the rest so you can move forward with your finished project.
